Artist Statement (Real)

Inspiration can come for anywhere, mine personally was layers. I took one simple thing and added more simple items around it. For example, one project started with just a simple feather. Added to it were some small green vines and followed that were other natural things that were at hand. The layers give things a better personality and just as we as people have layers, so does our art.

The tools that I used were only my hands, never did I use any scissors or anything. The materials that were used in this art project were a feather, leaves, plants, flowers, rocks and woodchips. To make sure the objects were set in the correct spot without messing up the rest of the project you had to use a careful hand. Being slow and steady was the only technique that I used.

Art is my escape from the regular dull, bland world. You can make something beautiful and share it with the ones who need it most. It’s not a piece that you’ll forget about, this is something that you can remember for the rest of your life. It’s something that you can always remember and gives you a chance to forget about all the stress in your life, if only for a brief moment. The art can change people’s perspective on life, and gives them a chance to change things.
